OUR COMMITMENT

Our Work

To date Sakubva Helpers UK has managed to send over 50 000 books, computers, musical equipment, and other educational resources to Rebuild Sakubva.

Sakubva Helpers UK is now raising £ 3,800 towards shipping and handling costs to send a container load of educational books and equipment to augment the government funding deficit in the sector. Rally the troops via social media to help make this campaign a success. Help spread the word!

THE BEGINNING

Sakubva Helper UK Charity was the brainchild of retired

Educationists from Chelmsford and London back in

August 2014 over a Reunion lunch. This was in response to

a request from Rebuild Sakubva Trust, an initiative

conceived and implemented by the residents of Sakubva

Township in the City of Mutare in Zimbabwe. In spite of

the economic challenges facing the nation of Zimbabwe,

the desire to educate and prepare its children for the

future has never diminished. We wanted to HELP them

HELP themselves.

THE ACTIVITIES

The Charity has continued with the collection of

donations from around the UK. It is hoped that these

donations which are now packed in our Garage and ready

to be loaded into the next Container to Zimbabwe. We

are truly grateful for all the donors that have continued

to help us with the donations and also the cost of

shipping our Container. Other than educational materials

we also have equipment for the elderly and disabled

people in the community.

We have continued with the payment of School Fees for

the disadvantaged children at Diligence Academy. This

programme has been popular with the Sponsors, Children,

Parents, and Teachers at the Academy.

SHUK will continue with the building of more classrooms and the

payment of School Fees for the disadvantaged children.
